1 min readDec 28, 2019
- When you ask a dog what their name is, ask the owner too.
- Become a regular at a local coffee shop and continue to refer to the cup sizes by their Starbucks nicknames. Remember, it’s a tall coffee, not a 12 oz. coffee.
- Avoid buying books on Amazon and instead walk into an Amazon bookstore and buy the paper copy damn it.
- Stop biking in the pouring rain because you might get hit by a car.
- Maybe also stop driving in the rain. Really ask yourself, has the bad driver been me all along?
- Stop telling people from California to move here.
- Make eye contact with homeless people in Pioneer Square.
- Stop asking your Tinder matches to go hiking with you.
- Quit smoking so much weed that it’s your personality.
- Exercise indoors to spice up your workout routine.
- Stop performative activism.
- Spend more time with headphones out of your ears.
- Spend less money on craft beer that you say you like because it’s “hoppy”.
- Find a hobby that does not involve wearing flannel.
- Support the link light rail and public transportation because our city is bursting at the seams.
- Be more aggressive (not passive aggressive).
